Foundation Mathematics and Mathematics have been authored by a highly experienced team, all of whom have taught at a range of levels and subjects and tested the material with their classes to ensure that the contents are not only accessible and relevant, but also the right level of difficulty.

Dr. Colin Steele

Dr. Colin Steele

Colin has been teaching mathematics to those who use mathematics as part of other disciplines in Manchester since 1993 and has a keen interest in the use of technology within mathematics teaching. He enjoys explaining mathematics to students including the moment of enlightenment when the student exclaims "it's really quite simple after all".

Dr. Gareth Woods

Halesowen College, UK

Gareth is a teacher at one of the leading colleges in Birmingham. Prior to that he was an e-learning developer at the University of Leicester. He has a PhD in Theoretical Physics and is about to start studying for a second PhD in Education. His hope is that one day students will be able to learn mathematics through playing games and self discovery.

Professor Jeremy Levesley

Professor Jeremy Levesley

Jeremy gained a PhD after completing a PGCE in Mathematics, and has retained an interest in teaching and learning ever since. He became a National Teaching Fellow in 2014 partially based on work in e-learning. His dream is to invent an video game which teaches people the ideas behind calculus without them knowing they are learning.

Professor Douglas Quinney

Professor Quinney has taught university level mathematics for many years. He is the author of numerous textbooks on Calculus and Numerical Analysis and has developed a range of teaching materials which use technology to enhance learning and provide computer based self and formative assessment.
